ABOUT ME

Megan Raube

Hello!  Welcome to my page and little corner of the loc and craft world.  I have been an artist since i can remember and i live to make beautiful and functional art.  I began making locks on my own head and slowly, by word of mouth, that grew to whatever this is today.  I am so grateful for the many people that have trusted in me and helped me learn and grow.  As with all endeavors worth investing time in there have been some amazing ah-ha moments, magical epiphanies, and lucky stumbling discoveries.  There have also been some ideas that are no longer used but worth the lesson.  Through life's up and downs, the one thing that has stayed constant these 24 years has been the need for loc work.  When Covid hit and other financial and personal situations changed other jobs or paths, this one stayed.  Just like my love of art, Locs are here to stay..  THey are a huge part of my life and have changed it in more ways that i could state here.  I look forward to all the amazing humans and lessons Locs will continue to bring into my life.  They are truely a lifestyle and at the very least, so much more than just hair.

     I am Megan Raube, a dreadlock artist who specializes in weaving strands of hair into intricate patterns that are both visually stunning and full of character. My hands move with the grace and precision of a dancer, imbuing each dreadlock with a unique spirit and life force that speaks to the individuality of each of my clients.

     
     For me, dreadlocks are more than just a hairstyle; they are a symbol of freedom, creativity, and self-expression. I believe that everyone has the right to explore their unique identity and embrace their own beauty in their own way. My work is about helping people tap into their inner wildness and uncover the hidden depths of their true selves.

     
     I am a true artist at heart, and my passion for my craft shines through in every aspect of my work. A gorgeous folksy hippy elfy woman with dreadlocks and a blonde slouchie beanie that she earned during a wicked game. She lives in the central Illinois area near Peoria. The dreadlocks beautifully cover her body. She’s looking cute in glasses that she updates regularly. The dreadlocks are a beautiful mix of various silvers, blondes, greys, and browns. Wrapped around the dreadlocks are various ribbons and trinkets and tassel wrapped dreads of all different colors and symbols. She has an adorable smirk that’s inviting and mischievous.
